Sapient Medical is a company with a dynamic working environment that is looking for a licensed Behavioral Health Specialist to join their community based behavioral health clinical team. Working with new and routine patients in an office or community setting allows providers to efficiently treat their client. The Specialist’s duties include evaluating clients by conducting intake assessments, behavioral health assessments, clinical diagnostics, and creating treatment plans. The Specialist will also authorize treatment, schedule services, review charts for continuity, accuracy, and soundness to ensure clinical services are properly rendered, and make community referrals according to the clients’ needs.
Behavioral Health Specialist III Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments on new clients.
- Conduct Behavioral Health Assessments (BPS).
- Conduct reassessments on active clients.
- Create new clinical treatment plans for new clients.
- Update existing treatment plans for active clients.
- Schedule and coordinate client services, treatments, and skills training.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations.
- Order behavioral health services for clients’ treatment.
- Use EHR to document daily treatment in SOAP, DAP, or BIRP format.
- Counsel and educate clients and their families on treatment plans.
- Read and interpret client information, making treatment decisions if appropriate.
- Collaborate with case managers, physicians, other therapists and multidisciplinary team members.
- Identify client care requirements by establishing personal rapport with clients and their families.
- Call clients, their families, PMP, specialists, and other providers to schedule, coordinate, update, and manage appropriate care.
- Visit clients at their homes, community, schools, and other treatment facilities to provide behavioral health services according to their treatment plan.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Environment: Work is performed in an office, home, or community setting with moderate patient contact. Due to the nature of the work, the clinicians may be required to travel to community facilities, homes, satellite offices.
- Physical: Primary functions require little physical ability and mobility to work with a client; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 25 lbs.)
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Appropriate level of entry degree to practice as a fully license therapist in the State of Georgia
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certification, and annual TB screening.
- Active state of Georgia LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psy.D.
- Clean background check and clean drug screen
- At least (3) years of behavioral health experience
