Sapient Medical is a company with a dynamic working environment that is looking for a Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their health team of clinical professionals. OTs are primarily responsible for providing patients with treatment to help them develop and improve their ability to complete everyday tasks related to their job and daily life. Their duties include performing initial patient assessments, teaching patients to use adaptive technology and coaching them through therapeutic activities.
Occupational Therapist’s Job Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Assessing the patient’s physical, communication and cognitive skills to develop a treatment plan.
- Giving advice and providing support for family members and caregivers.
- Assessing the home, school, and work environments of the patient.
- Installing the necessary equipment in the classroom for children with disabilities and teaching them how to use the equipment.
- Helping children and adult patients to take part in everyday activities based on their unique circumstances.
- Assisting patients’ exercise for pain relief.
- Reviewing the patient’s progress and adapting the treatment accordingly.
- Performing administrative tasks such as keeping records, writing reports and making telephone calls.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Environment: Work is performed in an home, or facility setting with high patient contact. Due to the nature of the work, the clinicians may be required to travel to other facilities and homes.
- Physical: Primary functions require little physical ability and mobility to work with a client; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 75 lbs.)
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Appropriate level of entry degree to practice as a fully license therapist in the State of Georgia
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certification, and annual TB screening.
- Active state of Georgia OT License.
- Clean background check and clean drug screen
- At least (1) year of therapeutic health experience
